TRADE ROOM

Trade with Confidence.

Secure two-way card trades with hub escrow — both collectors ship to the iCollecta hub, and ownership only swaps on the digital ledger after both items are verified.

THE ICOLLECTA ESCROW SYSTEM

— Every trade. Every purchase. Protected.

The same escrow protection that powers the Trade Room now covers every purchase from a collector's listing. Buyers pay with total confidence. Sellers ship with the payment already secured in escrow.

STEP 1

Buyer Pays Into Escrow

Purchase money goes into the iCollecta Escrow System, not directly to the seller. Funds held securely from the moment of purchase.

STEP 2

Seller Ships

With tracking. Funds stay locked in escrow while the item is in transit.

STEP 3

Delivery Confirmed

The buyer confirms the item arrived as described, backed by tracking verification.

STEP 4

Seller Gets Paid

Funds release to the seller only after delivery is confirmed. Protected payment, zero anxiety on both sides.

For decades, collectors have paid strangers on the internet and simply hoped for the best. The iCollecta Escrow System ends the leap of faith. Buyers never wonder if their card will show up. Sellers never wonder if they'll get paid. It's the safest way to collect, sell, and buy online — and it's only on iCollecta.

WHY EVERY TRADE RUNS THROUGH ESCROW

— A 10% refundable deposit seals each side. Both cards lock before anything moves.

For decades, collectors mailed cards to strangers and simply hoped. The iCollecta escrow vault removes the leap of faith: no collector ships on trust alone, no trade advances until both sides are locked in, and ownership only swaps on the digital ledger after both cards are verified.

STEP 1

Propose the swap

Offer one of your marketplace listings for the card you want back. Both item values go on the trade record, so everyone knows the deal up front.

STEP 2

The other collector accepts

They review the offer — the items, the values, the collector behind it — and accept before anything moves.

STEP 3

Both cards deposit into escrow

Each collector pays a 10% refundable deposit of their card's value to initiate the transaction, then ships their card to the iCollecta hub, where it is locked in the escrow vault. The trade cannot advance until BOTH cards are in.

STEP 4

Verified at the hub

Both items are checked against the trade record. Ownership only swaps on the digital ledger after both cards verify.

STEP 5

Confirm & complete

Each collector confirms receipt and the trade closes out on the ledger — ownership records updated on both profiles.

How much does a collector deposit for a trade to be accepted?

10% of your card's agreed value — a refundable commitment deposit paid to initiate the escrow transaction. It is returned in full when the trade completes (or is cancelled before both cards lock in), and it is what stops no-shows: neither card leaves the vault until both deposits are in.

Is there a minimum amount to make a trade viable?

Yes. Both cards must be valued at $25 or more to enter escrow — below that, shipping and verification cost more than the cards themselves. Direct peer-to-peer purchases use full cash escrow instead: when a buyer buys a listing outright, 100% of the payment is held in escrow and released to the seller only after delivery is confirmed.

Walkie-talkie

THE COLLECTORS INTERCOM

Two-way talk, built for the moment of the deal.

The two-way walkie-talkie inside iCollecta exists for one reason: making trades and peer-to-peer purchases. Every signup gets a channel number — push-to-talk with the collector on the other side of the deal, haggling live, confirming condition and price voice-to-voice, then locking it into escrow without a single DM. Card shops, sellers, and business profiles are reachable the same way.
